Internship Programme

Shape Your Future in Education with Our Internship Programme

Across Creative Education Trust, we offer a three-week immersive internship designed for students studying degree subjects in: Mathematics, Computer Science, Chemistry, Physics, Design & Technology, and Modern Foreign Languages. This program provides real classroom experience and professional development opportunities, giving you a genuine insight into the world of teaching.

What Makes Our Internship Unique?

Developed by education experts, our internship combines hands-on classroom practice with structured learning sessions to help you explore what it means to be a teacher and how schools operate behind the scenes. Over three weeks, you’ll be fully integrated into our schools and supported every step of the way by experienced mentors and our dedicated Education and Recruitment teams. This collaborative approach ensures you thrive during your internship and gain the confidence to take your next steps in education.

To give you a real insight into the profession, we’ve designed a series of engaging sessions, including:

  • Meet our CEO: Nicole McCartney
  • What does it mean to be a teacher?
  • How do we help teachers develop their practice?
  • Introduction to Creative Education Trust’s Teacher Training Programme
  • Reflection and career pathway discovery
  • Coffee chats with support teams
  • Employability sessions with our Recruitment Team

…and much more - all designed to prepare you for a successful future in teaching.

Hands-On Experience

During your time in our schools, you’ll gain practical teaching assistant experience and explore optional activities such as:

  • Shadowing a school leader
  • Co-teaching alongside experienced staff
  • Supporting marking and lesson preparation

Your Project and Celebration

You’ll have dedicated time to reflect on your experiences and use these insights to complete a three-week project, which you’ll present during our Celebration Session at the end of the internship. This event is a fantastic opportunity to:

  • Share your learning
  • Gain feedback from education professionals
  • Celebrate your achievements
