From Early Years to Year 6 success: primary students celebrate a year of achievement
Primary students across Creative Education Trust are celebrating a year of achievement, with provisional results showing standout successes at every stage of their education, from the Early Years Foundation Stage to preparing for secondary school at the end of Year 6.
Across the Trust’s six primary academies, students have demonstrated different strengths throughout the primary years. Their achievements reflect their hard work and determination, together with the commitment of the colleagues and families supporting them.
Results never tell the whole story of a school or a child, but they do give us another opportunity to pause and celebrate the learning and achievement taking place across Creative Education Trust’s six primary academies.
At Queen Eleanor Primary Academy, 79% of students achieved the expected standard in reading, writing and mathematics combined at Key Stage 2, significantly above the national figure of 63%. More than half achieved the higher standard in both reading and mathematics, well above the respective national figures.
Harpfield Primary Academy celebrated success in reading throughout the primary journey. Nine in ten Year 1 students met the expected standard in the phonics screening check, while 80% of Year 6 students achieved the expected standard in reading.
Multiplication Tables Check results were strong across Creative Education Trust’s primary schools, with students at Three Peaks Primary Academy demonstrating exceptional knowledge. Seven in ten Year 4 students achieved full marks, well above the latest available national figure. Three Peaks Primary Academy also achieved a strong Early Years outcome, with three quarters of children reaching a Good Level of Development.
Wroughton Primary Academies are also celebrating strong foundations in literacy and numeracy. At Wroughton, 82% of Year 1 students met the expected standard in phonics, while almost half of Year 4 students achieved full marks in the Multiplication Tables Check.
Woodlands Primary Academy achieved the Trust’s strongest Early Years result, with 77% of children reaching a Good Level of Development. The academy also saw nine in ten Year 1 students meet the expected standard in phonics.
Together, these achievements show that success can take many forms and can be found at every stage of a child’s primary education.
Every one of these achievements has a child’s story behind it. It might be a child discovering the joy of reading, mastering their times tables or reaching the end of Year 6 ready for their next adventure.
