Championing Professional Growth: Lynn Grove Academy Awarded Steplab Coaching Hub Status
Lynn Grove Academy has been officially recognised as a Steplab Coaching Hub School for 2025–26.
This prestigious accolade is awarded to only a select group of schools internationally and highlights Lynn Grove’s exceptional commitment to professional development and instructional coaching.
The recognition follows a rigorous evaluation process by Steplab, a leading platform for teacher development. The report praised Lynn Grove’s comprehensive and strategic coaching programme, its strong culture of rehearsal and feedback, and the positive impact on teaching quality and student outcomes. Notably, the school’s Progress 8 score has improved from -0.01 to +0.19 over the past three years.
As a Steplab Coaching Hub, Lynn Grove Academy will now serve as a model of best practice, welcoming educators from across the UK and beyond to observe its innovative approach to teacher development.
I am so proud of all of us for championing coaching and prioritising our professional development. We know that excellent classrooms every day is the best way of improving life chances of the children in our community. And this accolade marks an important milestone in Lynn Grove becoming a beacon of excellence for teaching, learning and CPD.
Creative Education Trust has embedded Steplab across its network of schools, as Quality of Education Leader Craig Latimir explains.
"At Creative Education Trust, we believe every teacher has the right not just to incredible Continuous Professional Development (CPD), but to personalised CPD. It is our desire for all teachers in our Trust to have access to high-quality and transformational instructional coaching. We know that teaching is one of the hardest jobs around and should not be something which people try to master by themselves.
"Across our trust, we have invested in Steplab in every one of our academies to achieve these aims. Lynn Grove, as early adopters, have been leading the way with this internally. We are so pleased that their work has now been acknowledged externally by Steplab themselves as they become one of just a small handful of Hub Schools.
"Not only does this bolster the support we can offer internally, we now have the privilege to be able to share this practice with schools and leaders from across the country. We couldn’t be prouder of the staff at Lynn Grove who have all played their part in making this ambition a reality."
