The Creative Education Trust is delighted to announce the appointment of the first Executive Headteacher of the Wroughton Junior and Infant academies.

Dr Craig Avieson, who will take up his new post on 1 January 2017, has had a wide ranging teaching career in challenging schools across Norfolk, Suffolk and London and is currently the Headteacher of Great Yarmouth Primary academy. He has also been a lecturer in the Education department at UEA and serves as a coach and mentor to other Headteachers on the DFE’s flagship “Outstanding Leaders” programme.

Marc Jordan, Chief Executive of the Creative Education Trust said “Dr Avieson joins us with a very strong track record of school improvement wherever he has worked and will spearhead our drive to improve all aspects of the provision for the young people and wider community of the Wroughton Academies.”

Wroughton Junior School and Wroughton Infant School are expected to join the Creative Education Trust from 1 December 2016.
