Shady dealings

The third annual Creative Education Trust creative writing competition saw 14 finalists from seven schools spend a day at the British Film Institute in the summer of 2019.

Led by screenwriting professional, Harry Oulton, the final event of the competition challenges students to write the screenplay for a 5 minute drama. The resulting story must be set in school and centre on the revelation of a secret. The prize is to have their screenplay made into a short film.

This years winners were Ash Green School's Neve Allen and Aaron Kalsi for Sales in the Shadows, in which a student discovers the shocking truth behind how the new school building was funded. What will be the price of her silence?
